When manually associating UCS blades to ESX hosts it works but fails when attempting to associate a Windows Host. The UCS blade is set up as a physical server to support Windows OS. Is it possible to associate a UCS blade to device type Windows Host?

The manual association is defined via UCS chassis interfaces for blade 'Module Associations'.

For the UCS blade to be associated with an SNMP Windows Host device, the Serial_Number (0x10030) attribute ID on both of them has to match. Generally, this attribute will not be populated for Windows Host devices.

Release : 20.2

Component :

We have to manually update the Serial_Number of the Windows Host device with which we want to associate the UCS blade.
