Issue/Introduction

This service apparently fails to start with the following Error: "Error 267: The directory name is invalid."

We noticed this when we got to our UAT upgrade and an event log monitor showed it.

This service has the same error in all of our upgraded R12 environments, but is running in production successfully on previous version.

Service references "D:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SharedComponents\CA_LIC\LogWatNT.exe" executable, I cannot find any kind of configuration for this, but I suspect the directory move from "D:\Program Files\CA\Workload Control Center" to "D:\Program Files\CA\WorkloadAutomationAE\wcc\" may ultimately be the cause.

Is this service still needed even?

Environment

Release : 12.0

Component : WORKLOAD CONTROL CENTER

Resolution

CA Licensing is not used/installed in R12 any more.
