Issue/Introduction
Today the SYSVUSER task twice experienced a crash with abend S40D-10.
Environment
Release : 16.0
Component : SYSVIEW
Cause
After examining the dumps sent to IBM, they suspect the S878 abends are caused by old SYSLOG datasets left on the spool
SYSVIEW Sustaining Engineering (SE) agrees.
Resolution
Reduce the amount of SYSLOG data on the spool.
Do not unnecessarily keep it if no longer needed.
