Issue/Introduction

We are currently in the midst of upgrading our Automic Engine to 12.3

Non-prod has been upgraded to 12.3. Prod is currently scheduled to be upgraded. In the meantime, before prod is upgraded, there is a requirement that arose, where we are required to export objects from non-prod (V12.3) to prod (V11.2). Unfortunately, The object import process fails as mentioned the export file is not compatible. Is there any workaround to be able to promote job objects on to production?

Cause

Migration of the objects (import) failed due to the source file (export file) is from a later version of the product.

Resolution

Unfortunately, the product does not support the migration of objects from 12.3 to 11.2 (Version backwards). 

If at all you need to migrate the objects from the current 12.3 to 11.2, compare both the XMLs of a working object and make necessary changes before running the import. It is a manual tedious process. Alternatively, upgrade your production environment as soon as possible so the migration would be hassle-free.
