Internal Error when attempting to change OKTA password

Issue/Introduction

"There was an unexpected internal error. Please try again" when attempting to reset an OKTA password. 

Cause

A SAME Origin restriction is causing an issue when the link is launched to reset the password.

Environment

Release : SAAS

Resolution

Use the following workaround:

1. Access the website that contains the option to change your OKTA password. Right click on the link:

2.Select the "Open link in new tab" screen.

 

The email reset link should not correctly be generated for the user. Opening the link in a new tab gets around the SAME Origin restriction.
