14.0 Web Viewer gives message "Hello World!" on attempted access

Issue/Introduction

We installed version Viewer/Deliver/Web Viewer CARS2107. We applied the latest maintenance to View/Deliver/Web Viewer. We started Web Viewer. When we tried to access host:port/web-viewer, we got only the message, "Hello World!"

Cause

The wrong Web Viewer WAR/EAR file was deployed, if WebViewer.war is what was deployed.

Resolution

Please check what file was deployed.  If it’s WebViewer.war then you deployed the wrong file - WebViewer.war was a Hello World application that was created as a placeholder before Web Viewer r14 was released.  The correct file to deploy for Web Viewer r14 is web-viewer.war (or web-viewer.ear if using WebSphere).
