check if a program and variant exist in SAP

Issue/Introduction

Is there a way for autosys to check if a program name and variant exist in SAP before creating the job in autosys?

 

Environment

Release : 11.3.6 / 12.x

Component : CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)

Resolution

If you drill into the WCC UI QuickEdit for the job, under the Step parameters if you click the pencil icon you are shown a popup widget which shows search options for the ABAP Name and Variant.

NOTE - this only works if the job is defined to a single real machine.  And there is no autosys command line option method to obtain this same information.
