Issue/Introduction

For sites with external security packages and ID length restriction of eight (8) characters or less, an alias is needed for default user DATACOM-INSTALL. What alias can be used?

Resolution

Datacom introduced "DATCOMIN" as a Datadictionary ALIAS that can be used as a short form of "DATACOM-INSTALL" user in the -USR statement. For more information, please look at the Implementing Datacom Datadictionary Security documentation.
