The number of targeted endpoints exceeds the maximum allowed per scan. 

Environment

Release : 15.x 16.x

Component : Enforce

Cause

The default limit for targeted Endpoints for Endpoint Discover Scans is 1,000.

The maximum recommended limit is 30,000 agents per Detection server.

Resolution

To change the setting, follow the steps:

1. Edit the file Manager.properties
   Located at:
   Windows: C:\Program Files/Symantec\DataLossPrevention\EnforceServer\<Version>\Protect\config
   Linux: /opt/Symantec/DataLossPrevention/EnforceServer/<Version>/Protect/config
   
   
2. Locate the setting: com.vontu.manager.discover.targets.edar.maxagents = 1000
   
   
3. Change it to the desired value.
   
   
4. Save the file.
   
   
5. Restart the SymantecDLPManager service.
