Question:

When installing on Windows 2008 you may encounter a Windows install error that says, "Error opening installation log file"
Verify that the specified log file location exists and is writable.

Answer:

This is due to the Windows User Account Control feature. To install you must turn this off.

  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
