What version of SQL will SOI 4.2 support

Issue/Introduction

Customer is planning to install a new SOI env and would like to know what database versions are supported.

Environment

Component : SOI Manager

Resolution

Currently, SOI 4.2 with the latest service packs will support SQL Server up to 2019.

Please note that MSSQL 2019 is not listed here, but checking under the SOI CU Patches, in the SOI Dec 2020 patch that came out prior to CU1, MSSQL 2019 is currently supported:

Support for the encrypted SQL Server connections
This patch contains the support for the encrypted SQL Server
connections. Using this feature SOI establishes secure encrypted
connections with the SQL Server instances.
The supported database servers with the encrypted connections are as
follows:
Microsoft SQL Server 2019
Microsoft SQL Server 2017
Microsoft SQL Server 2016
Microsoft SQL Server 2014
Microsoft SQL Server 2012
Note: SQL Server forced encryption must be enabled to keep the
connections secure and this feature is not enabled by-default.
Support for Windows 2019
Support for Windows 2019 is certified in this release. SOI is fully
compatible with Windows 2019.
You can install the latest patches of SOI and all supported
connectors on a Windows 2019 server (minimum Windows Server 2019
Standard build 1809) with the supported MS SQL database servers.

So any Cumulative Updates after SOI 4.2 CU1+ would also support MSSQL 2019.
