Output Management Web Viewer
Issue/Introduction
Web Viewer required a master mainframe account (ADMINID) when installing. We need to change that account. How is this done?
Environment
Output Management Web Viewer 12.1
Resolution
The Web Viewer configtool should be used to change the ADMINID setting, Default Administrator's Mainframe ID. The change may be verified by running the configtool again, or by viewing the WVProfile.properties file, ADMINISTRATION.DefaultAdminID.
Additional Information
Where changing the 12.1 Web Viewer ADMINID is concerned, you're best off doing it from the configtool. You can make the change by editing the Web Viewer WVProfile.properties file, but it's not recommended.
Instead;
Start the configtool
Choose "1" for system level external configuration
Config Option "4" ADMINID settings.
Change the Default Administrator's Mainframe ID.
After you make and save the change, you'll note it says you need to recycle. You'll want to do this when the Web Viewer is not in use.
You also want to make sure that the first user to sign in after the recycle is the ID you just reset as the ADMINID.
