Unable to export package from Endpoint Protection Manager with limited admin user

Limited Administrator account is not able to export package from SEPM. When export is clicked, nothing happens.


This is a known issue.


Release : 14.3 RU2


This issue is under investigation from development. 

A test binary is available. Please contact Broadcom Support to obtain the binary if you wish to test a potential fix.

Steps to apply the test binary:

  1. STOP SEPM services and close any SEPM consoles.
  2. Go to <drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\webapps\ROOT\clientpkg
  3. Rename scm-ui.jar to scm-ui.jar.bak.
  4. Copy down the test binary version of scm-ui.jar to the same location.
  5. START SEPM services
  6. Test login and package export using limited admin user
  7. In case of issue revert back to backed up jar in step 3
