TPX - applications sessions are not activating

CA TPX - Session Management

Issue/Introduction

TPX successfully starts, however, none of the application sessions are activating.

Observe :  SENSE CODE=08210002 --- MEANING=LOGMODE ENTRY UNDEFINED TO VTAM

Environment

Release : 5.4

Component : CA-TPX for Z/OS

Resolution

In this scenario, it was observed that the  VTAM LOGMODE (MODETAB=MTTPX) is a user customized table rather than using the TPX supplied Mode tables.
T
he workaround is to; 

- log onto TPX
- tab cursor next to failing application ,
- type E and hit <enter>
- tab cursor next to Modent name…. and type D4A32782 and hit <enter>
- hit F3 to end
- tab cursor next to A01TS and hit <enter>

This is a temporary workaround, for the life of the application session.
The permanent fix is to us the TPX mode tables, supplied in the installation package.
