Jobs Run get aborted based on time limit

Issue/Introduction

Some of scheduled jobs from UPROC's fails intermittently with status Aborted with symbol and sometime runs fine. How to troubleshoot these jobs failure?

 

Environment

Release : 6.x

Component : DOLLAR UNIVERSE

Sub-Component: ADLRUN : DOLLAR UNIVERSE

Cause

The scheduled jobs "Abort" is working as expected where a Job gets aborted due to product check i.e. "Killed - based on time limit".

Time Limit

The time limit is configured by the user during job schedule. This is the set time, overshooting which the engine stops all Uproc executions associated with the task and changes their status to Aborted.

As viable in Job Run summary, the cause of Jobs getting aborted is due to invocation of Job with inappropriate timeframe, which doesn't let job to complete.

• Aborted Jobs (Killed base on Time limit): time duration between start & end date is 00:00:05 seconds
• Successful completion: time duration between start & end date is  ~00:07:00+ minutes.

Resolution

Resolution: Use appropriate time duration which is sufficient for Job to finish.
