Issue/Introduction

Could not parse the file HOST-RESOURCES-MIB. Encountered "\u00ef" at line 1, column 1.

Environment

Release : 10.3

Component : Spectrum Alarm & Event Management

Resolution

It appears the MIB file has a BOM character in it.

Test the file via command line:

file HOST-RESOURCES-MIB.txt

HOST-RESOURCES-MIB.txt: UTF-8 Unicode (with BOM) text, with CRLF line terminators

This can be removed depending on the OS you are uploading the file from.

On MacOS run this:

sed $'1s/\xef\xbb\xbf//' < HOST-RESOURCES-MIB.txt > HOST-RESOURCES-MIB.mib

New file called HOST-RESOURCES-MIB.mib created.

Test the new file:

file HOST-RESOURCES-MIB.mib

HOST-RESOURCES-MIB.mib: ASCII text, with CRLF line terminators
