Issue/Introduction

On the Financial Management Defaults page there is an Access Rights section with a checkbox to enable or disable:

Grant Resource - Edit Financial instance right to resource managers 

What does this option do? What is the functionality behind?

Resolution

General Information:

• When a user is appointed as Resource Manager of a resource, an automatic right is granted: Resource - Manager (Auto)
• If the Access Right option is enabled in classic PPM Administration> Financial Management management defaults > access rights, an additional instance level access right is granted: Resource - Edit Financial 
  
  
  
• If the option is disabled, the access right is not removed from the existing Resource Managers.
  
  • To remove it - Remove the existing Resource Manager, save the resource and add the Resource Manager again to reset the access rights if the setting has changed. 
• Those can have the same access right manually added and switching the option on and off will not have effects on editing or not editing resource financial details

Resource - Manager (Auto) Permissions:

• Access to View and Update the Resource Contact pages in Classic 
• Access to View and Update the Resource Skills tab in Classic 
• Access to View and Update the Resource Calendar 
• Access to View and Update the Resource property fields 
• Access to Soft or Hard Book the Resource 

Resource - Edit Financial Permissions:

• Access to View, Edit and Enable the Financial Properties for the Resource
