NAS IDE breaks when script contains bracket and colon ( ]: ) in sequence.

If I have a script that contains something like:

mystring = "[hello]:[goodbye]"


Then the print looks like this:



... for some reason the ]: and everything after it is truncated/missing.



This is a side effect of some internal error-parsing code in the NAS LUA IDE.

At this time, we consider this a limitation of the IDE which is caused by a bit of error-parsing code in the GUI.

It does not affect scripts at runtime, it only affects the display in the output window of the NAS scripting IDE.

You should avoid using this sequence, or use an alternate IDE for script development if this cannot be avoided.
