Issue/Introduction

We have installed CA SYSVIEW V16 and while establishing the connection for CICS r5.3 we are getting the below error.

Resolution

1. In the non-working CICS region, the following message is seen and needs to be resolve:               

                    DFHSI1579D V060C00S Module DFHSIPLT PLT program CTCCJSTR not found  

    There are no further messages indicating that any resource definitions are installed.  

2. In the CICS region that works, the following messages indicate that various resource definitions are installed.

From this it can be concluded, in the non-working CICS region, that the DFHSIPLT module does not get found. 

The subsequent “GO or CANCEL” console message also indicates that the LSR1 pool is being built dynamically by CICS because not all of the parameters have been supplied.  This leads to a further hint that the LSR pool 1 definition is either missing or incomplete.

Therefore, the recommendation to resolve the "DFHSIPLT PLT program CTCCJSTR not found" first and to supply the appropriate LSR pool definitions.  

If the above is not helpful in resolving similar messages, open a Support case and provide the following documentation: 

1. The CICS log from the failing region  
2. The CICS log that works as expected, if any 
3. The SYSVIEW log that corresponds with both of the CICS logs. 
4. Indicate where the errors appear, along with the date and time stamps to ease in diagnosis.
5. It is also helpful to know if this is the first time bringing up a new release of SYSVIEW, and if not, what has changed since it last worked as expected? 
6. How was SYSVIEW started, ie, from where? 
7. Provide a copy of any dump that occured, if available
