Issue/Introduction

Some port channel sub-Interfaces are only showing 0 value in the chart views:

Cause

Issue is that these OIDs are counters, but the counters have stopped increasing in value. They're staying at the same value so the delta (change in value) between each 5 minute poll is 0.

Environment

DX NetOps CAPM all releases

Resolution

Looking at the Send response from the device:

Jul 27 15:25:59.274:    SnmpResponseVariable [oid=1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.19, type=COUNTER64, value=9223466290912567213, isDelta=true, isList=true, error=SUCCESS, isDynamicIndex=false, indexList=null]

The Poll response immediately after the Sending response shows the value is 0:

Jul 27 15:25:59.274:    SnmpResponseVariable [oid=1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.19, type=COUNTER64, value=0, isDelta=true, isList=true, error=SUCCESS, isDynamicIndex=false, indexList=null]

This is because the change in value (isDelta=true) of ifHCInOctets 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.19 between polls is 0:

Jul 27 15:25:59.274: SnmpResponseVariable [oid=1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.19, type=COUNTER64, value=9223466290912567213, isDelta=true, isList=true, error=SUCCESS, isDynamicIndex=false, indexList=null]

Jul 27 15:25:59.274: SnmpResponseVariable [oid=1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.19, type=COUNTER64, value=0, isDelta=true, isList=true, error=SUCCESS, Jul 27 15:30:59.532: SnmpResponseVariable [oid=1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.19, type=COUNTER64, value=9223466290912567213, isDelta=true, isList=true, error=SUCCESS, isDynamicIndex=false, indexList=null]

Jul 27 15:30:59.533: SnmpResponseVariable [oid=1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.19, type=COUNTER64, value=0, isDelta=true, isList=true, error=SUCCESS, isDynamicIndex=false, indexList=null]

Jul 27 15:35:59.418: SnmpResponseVariable [oid=1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.19, type=COUNTER64, value=9223466290912567213, isDelta=true, isList=true, error=SUCCESS, isDynamicIndex=false, indexList=null]

So the value (0) shown in CAPC is correct.
