Issue/Introduction

IDMS CV abends with code U0295 and the following error:

IKF995I     ILBONTR AMODE ERROR. ENTERED IN AMODE 31

Cause

The U0295 is caused by using an unsupported compiler option in a VS COBOL program.

Resolution

The following compiler options are not supported for VS COBOL programs running under IDMS/DC: DYNAM, LIB, STATE  and RES.

Additional Information

The IDMS documentation does not document the unsupported compiler options for VS COBOL as it is a very old release but there is a list of unsupported options for VS COBOL II.
