CA Workload Automation AE - System Agent (AutoSys)

After performing a new agent install using the 11.5 Agent iso, there is no SharedComponents directory. The unisrvcntr utility normally used to start/stop AutoSys services is not installed with the agent.

Release : 11.5

Component :

You only get the SharedComponents and all of the utilities within it when you install the agent using the AutoSys iso. The agent versions included on AutoSys iso images will be whatever is the current agent release at the time the AutoSys iso is built. When the last AutoSys 11.3.6 iso was built (SP8), the current agent release at the time was 11.4. When the AutoSys R12 iso was build, the R12 Agent was the current release. The 11.5 agent was released between the two. Therefore, there is not an AutoSys iso that will install the 11.5 agent. It has to be installed with the standalone agent iso, which does not install any common components that are located under SharedComponents. This also means that a new install of an 11.5 agent that does not have any other AutoSys components will not have the csutils, such as unisrvcntr, ustat, etc.

If you want to have an 11.5 agent machine that also has the csutils under SharedComponents, you will first need to install an 11.4 agent using the AutoSys 11.3.6 SP8 iso. That will install the csutils along with the agent. After that, you can use the 11.5 agent iso to upgrade that agent. That also makes it where you can use csutils to stop/start the agent.
