Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to configure a xFlow cluster for high availability?

Environment

CA Service Management 17.3 and 17.4

Resolution

You cannot really configure xFlow for clustering. The following is recommended:

1.  Using CA Service Management Advanced Availability (AA) architecture, add one or more APP servers with xFlow so that your environment has two or more xFlow servers, including elastic search servers

2.  Configure elastic search server cluster according to:

3.  Use a load balancer on the front end, like F5, so that the load balancer distributes the traffic to the APP servers
