Unable to deploy Identity Manager

Issue/Introduction

Deploying IGA 14.4 Virtual Appliance for a Production environment, configured MS SQL as the external database.

Created separate DB's and the Test connections were successful.

Deploying IM with PS, CS & US. But the deployment fails as it hangs on starting IM Service.

 

Environment

Release : 14.4

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Cause

IGA Virtual Appliance 14.4, is being deployed in a production environment with two nodes. FIPS is enabled and separate DB's are created for different component

The DB is MS SQL 2014 with Always On Clustering enabled. The tables are not getting created in IM_OBJECTSTORE and IM_SNAPSHOTS.

All other DB's have the tables and the same login-id is being used for all the DB's.

Resolution

The deployment was successful after upgrading  MS SQL Server to 2016 with Always On Clustering Enabled
