Group Devices Don't Appear in Dashboards or Reports

DX NetOps CA Performance Management - Usage and Administration


Group of Vendor specific Devices show 43 devices as Group Members. Report Chart on a Dashboard only has 29 devices.

Dashboard View has less items than the Group it is set against.

Group has more items than Dashboard Report against the same Group.

DX NetOps Performance Management Portal web UI Group has different item count than Report against the same Group.


Missing Devices have no data for the Metrics and Time Frame configured on the Report.

Reports only include devices that have valid data for the metrics configured.

If a Table format Report looks for 5 Metrics from 5 Metric Families:

  • If a Device has data for all Metrics for the specified Time Frame, it will be included.
  • If a Device has data for some but not of the metrics it will be included.
    • For example if we have an item that has data for 3/5 Metrics configured:
      • For the 3 Metrics that return data, it will show that data
      • For the 2 Metrics that do not have data, it will show a "No Data Available" message
  • If a Device has no data for any Metrics configured, it will not be included.

Resolve the issue with missing data for affected devices.
