Issue/Introduction

I am working with a client that is running TWS in Japan.  TWS has a lot of support for Shift_JIS character encoding.  The client is looking to convert to AutoSys.

Converting job names from Shift JIS to English is a manageable problem.  Convert descriptions to English is manageable. But converting arguments on a command line is not.  

Does AutoSys allow for arguments on the command line to be encoded in a character set other than English?

Resolution

If the code set is set up to handle those characters in your shell, then it should work in Unix. On Windows, you would need to have that language pack installed.
