The processes probe does not generate Up and Down alarm for the "name + command line" option

Issue/Introduction

The processes probe does not generate Up and Down alarm for the "name + command line" option, and as a result, in the Operator Console the QOS_PROCESS_STATE graph does not get updated giving a false expectation to the monitoring team the process being monitored is up and running while it is actually not. 

Cause

Missing double quotation marks " "  in the path

Environment

UIM Release : 20.x

Processes Probe Release: 4.70

Component : UIM - PROCESSES

Resolution

The processes probe is working fine for the "name + command line" option, the path should have " " , for example, if you are monitoring the 64-bit chrome.exe application, and assuming it is installed in C:\ drive in its default path, the "name + command line" path should look like:

 

"C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe"

 

 

Have tested with the process Up and Down, the alarms work fine:
