Can I use the same keyring for a digital certificate that will be used for establish an SSL connection with another LPAR?
The certificate shares the same intermediate certificate and root certificate as other certificates on the keyring.
Release : 16.0
Component : CA Top Secret for z/OS
It depends if the application requires the certificate to be the default certificate on the keyring, since you can only have one certificate as the default on the keyring.
If it does, then you will need to create a new keyring and configure the application to use that new keyring.
If it doesnt require the certificate to be the default certificate, then you can use the same keyring and add the certificate to that existing keyring.
The certificates are considered two different certificates even though they have been signed by the same intermediate certificate and root certificate.
