Resolution

After upgrading Ghost Solution Suite to the latest version, remote PXE servers are not automatically upgraded and require an additional process to be followed. Once GSS is upgraded to the desired version, launch "axInstall.exe" (run as administrator) from the DSSetup folder normally extracted to the root of C: on the GSS server.

Select "Component Install" then click "Install"

Once the license agreement has been accepted, verify the path of the GSS express share and click "next"

On the "Installing Components" page, select "Install an additional Symantec PXE Server" and click "Next" (existing PXE installations will be upgraded).

On the "PXE Server Information" page, select "Yes, I want to install PXE Server on a remote computer". Type or browse to the remote computer name, verify IP address and installation path, then click "next"

If this fails and you are unable to remotely upgrade the PXE server, you can copy the DSSetup folder from the GSS server to the remote PXE server, run "AxInstall", type the complete network path to the express share on the GSS server, then select "Yes, I want to install PXE Server on this computer"
