Issue/Introduction

When using SslConfig to reset to HTTP the Web Service Host (NpcWebServiceHost) and Web Site Host (NpcWebSiteHost) values for Remote Value and Local Override are reset.

Attempts to update an existing expired SSL Certificate with a new one failed. To quicly resolve the problem the SslConfig script was used to revert back to HTTP. Then it was used to reconfigure HTTPS with new SSL certificates.

After reverting to HTTP it was found that the Web Service Host (NpcWebServiceHost) and Web Site Host (NpcWebSiteHost) values for Remote Value and Local Override are reset to blank empty values. That is the default.

Environment

All supported DX NetOps Performance Management releases

Cause

Unable to determine cause without being able to reproduce the problem.

Resolution

The SslConfig script does not impact Web Service Host (NpcWebServiceHost) and Web Site Host (NpcWebSiteHost) values for Remote Value and Local Override when using it to revert back to HTTP.

If this is observed please report it to the DX NetOps Performance Management Support team for further investigation.
