Issue/Introduction

Issues below have been seen when Cabi is configured to use HTTP:
- "CABI is not available or accessible . Please contact your administrator." when trying to access reports from the Operator Console.

- Dashboards page keep loading until it timeout

- Dashboards show "This feature is not currently supported in Visualize.js."

Environment

  • Release : 20.x
  • Component : UIMOC
  • Unified Infrastructure Manager - Operator Console Cabi

Cause

  • Google Chrome, Firefox, and Edge have restricted cookies using SameSite.

Resolution

Temporary Workaround configure wasp CABI with HTTPS until you import the certificate!

1- Navigate to the Cabi robot.
2- Select Raw Configure if the wasp probe
3- With the setup section highlighted, create a new key, key name https_port key value 443 (by default) and apply then restart the wasp probe.

1- Google Chrome

  • Login to the CABI server https://<CABI IP address or FQDN>:443/cabijs then click on the "Advanced" then "Proceed to <Cabi server address> unsafe"
  • Login to the Operator Console again and try to access reports or dashboards.

2- Firefox

  • Login to the CABI server https://<CABI IP address or FQDN>:443/cabijs click on the "Advanced" then "Accept the Risk and Continue"
  • clear the browser data.
  • Login to the Operator Console again and try to access reports or dashboards.

- The permanent fix (recommended) is to configure OC and Cabi to use HTTPS.

Please follow the instructions in KB 234249 How to Create certificates for OC, AC, and Cabi server in UIM and fix the certificate error " Your connection is not private"
