Sharing the catalog between EPIC release 5.1 and 5.2

Issue/Introduction

 Upgrading to Epic  release 5.2 on the test system and need to know if it can share with Epic r5.1 running in production.

Resolution

The catalog can be shared between EPIC release 5.1 and  release 5.2 under the following conditions:

• TSIDUTL maintenance  such as backup/restore/reorg/scratch must be done from the z/VSE running  release 5.2
• TSIDCLN rerun must be done daily if the z/VSE running  release 5.1 will be updating the catalog.

TSIDMNT updates may be run under the release 5.1.   These updates include SCRATCH and DEFINE.
