AdoptOpenJDK branding changes to Adoptium with SiteMinder support

Issue/Introduction

 

AdoptOpenJDK will now be called Adoptium and the first release will be through .tar.gz instead of rpm package (1).

Will Broadcom continue to support AdoptOpenJDK through Adoptium?

 

Environment

 

Release : R12.8.0.3 and higher
Component :SiteMinder Policy Server , SiteMinder Access Gateway Server

 

Cause

 

3rd party product rebranding from AdoptOpenJDK to Adoptium.

 

Resolution

 

Per the R12.8 Platform Support Matrix, SiteMinder Supports AdoptOpenJDK.

Per Product Management:

There will not be a separate Notice for a Re-branding of a Third-Party component, however, Broadcom SiteMinder continues to support the Adoptium (AdoptOpenJDK) per the R12.8.x Platform Support Matrix (2).
