Unable to install SCM v14 Server 64 Bit

Issue/Introduction

When install 14.0 on a windows 2019 64 bit you could get error unable to upgrade PATH variable.

This tech doc gives one workaround.

 

Environment

Release : 14.0

Component : CA Harvest Software Change Manager

Resolution

Most likely the error is due to some permission issue. You can run cmd as an administrator and then

setup.exe /v"/l \"C:\some-existing-folder\install.log\"

 

Additional Information

Note: even if the permission issue persists, this command will give you more info in the install.log as indicated.
