Introduction:
CBS index has been defined as being VIRTUAL in Multi-User startup using card VIRTUAL 006, size and is stored into a DATASPACE.
Question:
Application got message DB02701E - CBS IXX00006 FULL.
CBS size has been increased in Multi-User startup, Multi-User has been recycled but application still fails with the same error afterwards. Why?
Environment:
z/VSE
Answer:
Multi-User startup card DATASPACE indicates the size for the DATASPACE that is created during Multi-User startup.
This size should be large enough to accommodate for the sizes indicated in VIRTUAL/COVERED Multi-User startup cards. If this size is not large enough then the VIRTUAL/COVERED area sizes are limited to the available space and no warning is given.
A Multi-User EOJ report or an SQL query on SYSADM.MUF_COVEREDVIRTUAL shows the real allocated size.
