Acknowledged alarms do not reappear in the Operator Console

Issue/Introduction

If we acknowledge alarms in Operator Console (OC), the alarm does not reappear even if the alarm is triggered again. Removed / deleted alarms are regenerating but not visible in the OC alarm viewer.

If we check in the Infrastructure Manager alarm subconsole, the alarm has re-appeared the next time it triggers.

This presents a problem as often users acknowledge an alarm and wait to see if it reappears to check if it is a spurious alarm.

Resolution

Redeployed the following packages:

1. ump_operatorconsole-2.1.0-HF3

2. wasp_alarmviewer_api-2.1.7-HF2

Fixed as of the June 2021 Monthly patch.

Additional Information

You can check your current UIM version in the versions.txt file on the Primary hub, e.g., ...\Program Files (x86)\Nimsoft and/or check the latest versions in the local archive.

When this issue first occurred, it was resolved in the UIM 20.3.3 June 2021 release.

Note that the install best practice after upgrading to 20.3.3, is to upgrade by applying each monthly patch without skipping any (April->June->July-> then September).
