Issue/Introduction

The Directory Data Service logs (dds.log) show an error connecting to the data source.

Environment

Release : 10.7.4

Component : Default-Sym

Cause

There are multiple things that can cause this issue:

  1. The data source is unavailable (offline, etc).
  2. The service is unable to connect to the data source (network issues, firewalls, proxies, etc)

Resolution

Check network connectivity.
