Entity Name field should be editable after a log based alarm is defined.

Log Based Alarms for DX OI

Once we defined a Log based alarm here. we cannot edit the "Entity Name" field after that. It creates a lot of re-work for that.

You need to delete the alarm and create a new one with the corrected "Entity Name" . That's the only possible solution left.

 

So, this field should be editable just like other fields available , likes of Name, Alarm Type, Log Index etc.

Resolution

Working as designed . 

A few attributes like Entity name, ID, IP addresses as identifiers for alarms and we typically don't modify these attributes. Any change will be picked up for a new alarm
