Encountering Detector PDT0150 CPROF INIT FAILED message for newly defined Db2 subsystem

Detector for DB2 for z/OS

Issue/Introduction

Recently defined a third Db2 member within a Db2 Data Sharing group. 

Allocated Detector for Db2 for z/OS (PDT) data store files after receiving message:
PDT0511 DETECTOR MODIFY FAILED/DATASTORE NOT FOUND ON CONTROL FILE, DB2 ssid.

When starting Xmanager receive the following messages:

PDT0100 DETECTOR COLLECTION INIT IN PROGRESS DB2=ssid USER=CONSOLE  
PDT0150 DETECTOR CPROF INIT FAILED/PROFILE=ssidPROF NOT FOUND       
PDT0102 DETECTOR TERM IN PROGRESS FOR DB2=ssid USER=CONSOLE         
PDT0520 DETECTOR MODIFY FAILED DUE TO ERROR, REASON=0000            

How and where to define the PDT collection profile ssidPROF to resolve the error message?

Resolution

From the Detector Main Menu to review the PDT collection profiles use panel options:

4  Maintain collect/report profiles
1  View Collection Profiles - Create, view, and modify collection profiles


To create a new collection profile ssidPROF there is a the following option
in the top right corner of the DETECTOR Collection Profiles Display panel after
utilizing the 4 and then 1 panel options listed above:

Create Profile ==> _


There is also a batch utility available in hlq.CDBAJCL(PDTCPALC) to create a Detector collection profile.
