What area Jobs Stats are shown in the System Overview on DUX?

Issue/Introduction

I have installed one UVMS, one Explorer and 3 DUAS. The home page of Explorer shows 3 nodes.

However, the home page show 0 running jobs. I have one job running for 1 hour and another job running for 10 hours.

Environment

Release : 6.10.x

Component : DOLLAR UNIVERSE

Sub-Component: DOLLAR UNIVERSE EXPLORER (DUX)

Cause

The System Overview of DUX is independent component, which let non-technical/ non UVC admin users monitor the system from web interface. 

This is a monitoring feature of DUX. The production and execution data are sent from Dollar Universe nodes to a Dollar Universe Explorer installation. Then, users can access the data via the Dollar Universe Explorer Web browser or by submitting a request via API.

Resolution

The above statement can lead to ambiguity and the statement should be read as below.

System Overview: This is a monitoring feature of DUX. The production and execution data (all UVMS nodes from all areas) are sent from Dollar Universe nodes to a Dollar Universe Explorer installation. Then, users can access the data via the Dollar Universe Explorer Web browser.

As in below screen shot the total Jobs Today and Jobs Running will be execution data from all area.

In case if you face issue where some of the nodes execution data are not seen, please review the universe.log of the node to check if it's able to send the data. The common error recorded is

Please check respective firewall configuration on the system obstructing data transmission.
