Issue/Introduction

We have made some modifications to the CA Deliver RMOATHTB security table and given some users administrative authority. Now that we have RMOATHTB relinked with the modifications, do we have to recycle the Deliver started task (RMOSTC) in order to affect the changes?

Environment

CA Deliver, 14.0, RMOATHTB, Security

Resolution

No, the Deliver started task does not have to be recycled. The Deliver started task does not perform any security check so RMOATHTB is not used.

In order for changes to RMOATHTB to take effect...

- For access via ISPF, the users will have to sign out of CA Deliver and back in for it to be affective.
- For access via XMS (VTAM,CICS,etc...) all users will have to sign out of CA Deliver for it to be affective. Or, a recycle of the XMS task would also do it.
