Issue/Introduction

What is the proper value for NX_ARCPUR_RULE_LOGGING?

What is the additional logging output if this variable is set and what file is it going it?

Environment

Release : 17.3

Component : CA Service Management

Resolution

The correct setting for the variable in the NX.env file is

@NX_ARCPUR_RULE_LOGGING=Yes

With the above variable in place in the NX.env, the stdlog will show output similar to this:

07/23 14:30:33.50 SERVER arcpur_srvr            11824 SIGNIFICANT  rule.c                 436 Starting rule test Rule.
07/23 14:30:33.51 SERVER arcpur_srvr            11824 SIGNIFICANT  rule.c                 398 Rule test Rule completed its processing with no error.

The arcpur.log.X file is always written to say that the rule was executed and the archive file written.  This log is always written regardless of the above NX variable.
