Issue/Introduction

I'm reviewing user accounts in Spectrum and have come across a user added twice (in upper and lower case).  For example, "spectrum" and "SPECTRUM".

How can I find out which account is actively used so that I can delete the unused account?

Also, are there any issues having a user defined in multiple groups?  Is there a way to check for duplicates?

Environment

Release : Any

Component : Spectrum Alarm & Event Management

Resolution

Spectrum user accounts are case sensitive. So, users "spectrum", "Spectrum" and "SPECTRUM" are all different User models in the Spectrum database.

Spectrum will not allow you to create two Spectrum users with the same exact username.

Additionally, Spectrum will not allow a Spectrum User to be a member of more than one Spectrum User Group.

To find out which user may be the "correct" user:

1. Log into the OneClick web pages as an ADMIN user

2. Click on the Client Log link.

This shows when a Spectrum user logs in and out of the Spectrum database. Check wish user has been used for logging into Spectrum and delete the other.

Additional Information

Please reference the "User Administration in OneClick" section of the documentation for more information.
