Unix Agent 12.3.6 HF1 / HF2 / HF3 adds error to Report before Messenger output

Issue/Introduction

Unix Agents print an error message in the job report before the start of the Job Messenger:

/opt/uc4/<name>/ServiceManager/bin/../../Agents/linux01/bin/../temp/JAADCOSC.TXT: line 2: N??: command not found

The command not found may also show as:

/agent/temp/JARMIXAF.TXT: line 2: $'\260\243\352\252\375\177': command not found

/Agents/unix/bin/../temp/JAAGOYTV.TXT: line 2: óØ-: command not found

Issue happens on v12.3.6 HF1 / HF2 / HF3, but not on v12.3.6 and before.

In many cases the job fails due to these messages, but in some cases there is just message and the job runs normally.

Workaround:

If you are on 12.3.6 HFx of Automic Automation Engine, you can install the 12.3.6 GA Unix agent downloadable from the Broadcom portal.

 

Solution:

Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.
