Issue/Introduction

Hi,

When an underlying repository is deleted from UVMS, the associated application is not identifiable on DUX. It’s confusing that when a user click on Business App -> Add Key stone Job he is shown 0 workflow but no identification as what went wrong.

Environment Details:

  • UVMS: 6.10.71
  • DUX: 6.10.71

There should be clear identification to the user to identify such application may be a different colors.

Environment

Release : 6.10.X

Component : DOLLAR UNIVERSE

Sub-Component: Dollar Universe Explorer (DUX)

Resolution

We reviewed the issue it's been found that it is an expected behavior, where the DUX will not explicitly mark an application whose underlying repository is removed. This behavior is same as in Dollar Universe if you have a session using a UPROC. In case where UPROC is removed the session will not highlight the session explicitly until it's executed and fails with an error.

There will be 0 workflows available in an application whose mapped repository is deleted and Error message is visible when user either try to modify Deadline or Reset Status as shown in screen shot.

The intended audience of DUX is non-technical who want to monitor the Overall System. The repositories are created and managed in Dollar Universe(DU) by DU administrator. It's administrative task to be diligent while removing repository from DU and also updating respective application mapped to repository in DUX.
