Issue/Introduction

Unable to increase memory of Wildfly service after changing the variable:

VNA_MAX_MEM=8192m​

In the file:

/opt/CA/VNA/wildfly/bin/standalone.conf

Environment

Release : 21.2

Component : Virtual Network Assurance For CA Spectrum

Cause

Issue was that Java installed on the server is 32 bit. So max addressable memory is only 3GB. When running the standalone.sh script manually, it shows the following:

Resolution

Install 64bit version of Java and ensure that it is the default JVM used by the OS.

After this, VNA should start successfully with memory settings greater than 3GB.
