Issue/Introduction

A Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 14.3 RU1 or newer Linux agent configured to use more than one internal LiveUpdate Administrator (LUA) only attempts to download content from the last LUA configured in the list.

Environment

From SEP 14.3 RU1, up to SEP 14.3 RU6

Cause

If more than one internal LiveUpdate server is specified in the Linux Settings -> Server Settings section of the LiveUpdate Settings policy, the SEP Linux agent will only try to download content from the last LUA on the list.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in Symantec Endpoint Protection for Linux 14.3.8138.8000 (RU8).  For information on how to obtain the latest build of Symantec Endpoint Protection, see Download the latest version of Symantec Endpoint Protection.

Workaround:
Only use one internal LiveUpdate server in the Linux Server Settings section of the LiveUpdate Settings policy.  This will ensure the Linux agents only reaches out to the desired LUA.
