Slow performance of task timeline if the task list is more than 2000

Issue/Introduction

Task timeline is sluggish and takes more than 40 seconds to load when there is more than 2000 task. Since there is no task limit the performance of the timeline view should be same as grid.

Release : 15.X

Component : Clarity MUX UI Usability

Resolution

Task timeline view is a graphical representation of the task hence it will be slow if there are more than 2000 tasks.

Performance also depends on the below factors. 

1.  the number of assignments per tasks
2. the duration of the tasks
3. the number of baselines exported to the scheduler

You can add filter to the task list and the performance will become much faster. Apart from this there is a loading feature which can show you how much tasks has been loaded in terms of percentage.
