EDR database connection problem

Issue/Introduction

Connection to the SEPM database failed.  EDR connects to SEPM SQL database intermittently.

EDR will temporarily display a critical system alert.

Environment

• EDR 4.x
• ATP 3.x

Cause

The SEPM database connection is configured with a hostname or FQDN.  The SEPM database is a server with two assigned addresses for two separate subnets.  The EDR netmask does not include one of the configured IP addresses in its own IP address range.

OR

The password is not known for the database user.

Resolution

Broadcom is investigating this issue at this time, please contact support.
