Issue/Introduction

What is the Recommended/ Supported Cipher to connect CA LDAP 15.1 server for RACF endpoint setup

Environment

Release : 14.3

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Resolution

Identity Manager is able to connect to RACF over SSL. The connector is connecting to the RACF endpoint / underlying CA LDAP and the certificate should be generated by the endpoint and imported into the JCS.

JCS is able to use any Cipher supported by the JVM used. There is no recommendation - the strength is usually determined by the endpoint administrators.

Note: This is not for Broadcom / Identity Manager to determine - the certificate is used by any application connecting to the endpoint in question and not specific to Identity Manager
